LAURA FOSTER NICHOLSON is an award-winning textile artist nationally known for handwoven brocaded tapestries. In addition to this art work she designs ribbons, custom textiles for interiors, and household textiles for companies such as Crate & Barrel.e her "tiny textiles", beautiful little tapestries in miniature. Laura Foster Nicholson is know for her distinctive design sense and finely tuned color palette.

"I find that the great joy in my life has been to try to bring art, craft, and design together in my work, not as separate entities in my creative output, but as different facets of the same object. I adore making things. I truly love weaving above all other processes. I would prefer to change my subject matter than give up my process. I recognize this as the mark of craft, a celebratory and meaningful process."

LFN Textiles Artist's Ribbons are ornate and elaborate woven textiles which provide decoration, richness, and a sense of delight. Our ribbons are in museum collections such as Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and The Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
