LFN Textiles features extraordinary ribbon embellishments and trims designed by textile
artist Laura Foster Nicholson. The ribbon designs are ornate and elaborate woven
textiles which provide decoration, richness, and a sense of delight. LFN Textile ribbons
are suitable for all kinds of sewing projects: quilting, beading, scrap books, bookbinding,
home decorating, and apparel. The ribbons are as practical as they are beautiful, long
wearing and washable.
LFN Textiles now has a blog: lfntextiles.blogspot.com. Visit it to learn more about
her ribbon designs, ideas for things to make with ribbon, and other textile projects.
Laura Foster Nicholson is also an award-winning textile artist nationally known for
handwoven brocaded tapestries. She designs custom textiles for interiors, and
household textiles for companies such as Crate & Barrel. Ribbons are her "tiny
textiles", beautiful little tapestries in miniature. Laura is also known for her
distinctive design sense and finely tuned color palette.
Laura's tapestries are in the permanent museum collections of these museums:
- The Art Institute of Chicago
- The Archives of the Venice Biennale, Venice, Italy
